OFELIA RODRIGUEZ

A funeral service will be held at 1:00 PM Tuesday, September 28, 2021 at Geo. J. Carroll & Son Funeral Home with Rev. Dennis King officiating.  Burial will follow in Fairview Cemetery.

Ofelia Rodriguez, 60, of Gainesville, died September 25, 2021.  She was born March 3, 1961 in Mexico to Francisco Rodriguez and Sofia Fuentes.

Ofelia loved her four daughters so much.  She devoted most of her life to being a homemaker.  She also loved spending time with her sister, Rosa.  She would often talk about the fun things they did together as teenagers.  It was on one of her fun excursions that she met her future husband, Tiburcio Rodriguez.  They were married August 22, 1976.

Mrs. Rodriguez was an active member of House of Prayer and loved going to church.  Her interests included spending time with her family, traveling, gardening, and reading her Bible.

Ofelia is survived by her husband of 45 years Tiburcio Rodriguez; daughters Delia Rodriguez Hernandez, Deborah Mangum, Rebeca Wallace; grandson Gerardo Hernandez, Jr.  She is also survived by her siblings: Rosa Elia Guillen, Amparo De Leon, Maria Isabel Ramos, Maria Esperanza Morua, Alberto Rodriguez, and Jesus Rodriguez.

Mrs. Rodriguez was preceded in death by her daughter Martha L. Rodriguez.
