Patricia Lang

A memorial service for Patricia Lang, 65, of Callisburg, is scheduled for 6:00 PM on Wednesday, June 6, 2018 at Callisburg Church of Christ with Ben Willingham officiating.  The family will receive friends following the service.

Mrs. Lang passed away June 1, 2018 in Callisburg.

Mrs. Lang was born November 8, 1952 in Whitesboro to Mack J. “Bill” and Rena Mae (Phillips) Hough.  She was raised and graduated high school in Callisburg.  Mrs. Lang studied nursing at Grayson County College, earning her degree in nursing.  She spent 39 years as an R.N., caring for others at various schools, hospitals, and nursing homes in the area.

On July 13, 1973, Mrs. Lang married Michael Lang at the Callisburg Church of Christ, in the new facility’s first wedding ceremony.  She was a life-long member of the church and was involved in numerous activities, including the Women’s Devotional.  Mrs. Lang raised her children well and cared deeply for her grandchildren.  Mr. and Mrs. Lang enjoyed traveling, often visiting Branson, MO, Florida, and Colorado.  She was also skilled in sewing and gardening.

Survivors include: husband Michael W. Lang Sr. of Callisburg; son Michael Lang Jr. and wife Michelle of Callisburg; daughter Tonja Gortmaker and husband Rustin of Little Elm; grandchildren: Cody and Casey Lang, and Kyla and Karis Gortmaker; brother Craig Hough and wife Dianne of Callisburg; and numerous beloved nieces, nephews and cousins.

Mrs. Lang was preceded in death by her parents.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Home Hospice of Grayson County; or Callisburg Church of Christ.
