Patsy Medley

Patsy Medley sadly passed away on July 30, 2022, at age 87 after a brave battle with Alzheimer’s.  Services will be held at 10:00 a.m., Saturday, August 13, 2022, at Geo. J. Carroll & Son Funeral Home in Gainesville, Texas.  Interment will follow at Oak Grove Cemetery.

Patsy is survived by her daughter and son-in-law Jan and John, her son and daughter-in-law Craig and Colleen, six grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren.  She now re-joins her loved ones who preceded her in death, her parents Herman and Amelia, her husband Ron, her grandson Dustin, her brothers Melvin and Merle and sister Fay, her sister-in-law and brother-in-law Marietta and Kenneth, five nephews, and numerous friends.

Patsy supported her husband’s career as they moved and lived all over the U.S., finally settling in Texas in the 1970’s.  She owned a real estate agency and was a real estate broker for many years in Big Spring, Texas. She was an avid bridge player and loved entertaining her friends and family.  Her parties were legendary.  She had many friends and was a well-loved member, most recently of the Lake Kiowa community, and of every town in which she lived.  Her kindness knew no boundaries and her friendships lasted a lifetime.

Patsy was the epitome of the consummate homemaker, hostess, wife, mother, grandmother, and friend.  She will always hold a place in our hearts and will be greatly missed.
