Funeral services for Patsy “Pat” Ann Tamplin, 87, of Gainesville, are set for 1:00 PM Wednesday, August 31, 2022 at Temple Baptist Church with Rev. Dr. Eddie Chennault and Rev. Larry Huffman officiating. Burial will follow in the Fairview Cemetery. A visitation will be held on Tuesday from 6:30 to 7:30 PM at Geo. J. Carroll & Son Funeral Home.
Mrs. Tamplin passed away on August 26, 2022 in Denton. She was born January 22, 1935 to Charles Lucas and Elsie Jane (Siebert) Walker in Sadler.
Pat graduated from Whitesboro High School. She married Claude Edward Tamplin on July 2, 1961 at the Sadler Baptist Church. She served as the dental assistant for Dr. Jones in Whitesboro for 27 years. She later worked for the local television cable company in Gainesville for 17 years. She was proud to be a hospital volunteer at North Texas Medical Center for many years and served as President of the organization for part of her tenure.
Mrs. Tamplin loved to serve the Lord and was a long-time member of Temple Baptist Church.
Pat is survived by her devoted husband of 61 years, Claude Tamplin of Gainesville; brother-in-law Ross Tamplin of Gainesville; and numerous nieces and nephews that enjoyed spending time with her and Claude.
Mrs. Tamplin was preceded in death by her parents; siblings: V.L. Walker, Madge McGuire, Helen Griffin, Billy Walker, Luella Smith, Lindy Walker, and her sister-in-law Meryl Tamplin.
Those serving as pallbearers are Lewis McCray, Larry Smith, Brandon Flowers, Chance Hawkins, Gary Crabtree, Chad Welch and Wayne Gann. Those serving as honorary pallbearers are Charles and Cindy Brown and Debbie Smith.
