Pattie Stinnett

March 4, 1943 — November 23, 2022

Pattie Sue Stinnett, 79, of Gainesville, passed away November 23, 2022 in Dallas following a short but courageous battle with Acute Myeloid Leukemia.

Pattie was born March 4, 1943 in Gainesville, where she lived most of her life.  Mrs. Stinnett was a small-business owner in Gainesville and retired as co-owner of Hair & Co.  She enjoyed spending time with her family and friends, playing games or just hanging out in the backyard.  The holidays were always a special time of year for Pattie because she knew she would have all her family together in one place.  She loved vacationing with her husband, sister-in-law Montella, and her friend Terry.  Pattie cherished her lunches with the Ya-Ya’s and spoke fondly of these high school relationships.  She had a passion for art and loved visiting galleries and museums.  She was always up for a good shopping trip and most recently discovered shopping on Amazon.

Mrs. Stinnett was preceded in death by her mother Pauline, father James, sister Barbara, brothers Rusty and Mike, and husband of 57 years, Robert Stinnett.

Survivors include: daughter Kymberlie Stinnett-Blasingame and husband Scott of Frisco; daughter Krista Stinnett-Ibanez and husband Willie of Melissa; three grandchildren: Miranda Niesman of Plano, Ryan Niesman of Oak Point, and Addison Ibanez of Melissa.  Also surviving is Mrs. Stinnett’s loving companion of the past seven years, her little dog, Layla.

A memorial service is scheduled for 2:00 p.m. on Friday, December 2, 2022, at Geo. J. Carroll & Son Funeral Home.  The family will receive friends at the First Presbyterian Church fellowship hall following the service.

Memorial contributions may be made to a local charity of one’s choosing, benefiting the Gainesville community that Mrs. Stinnett care greatly for.
