Paul "Pd" Alton Dhane

Paul “PD” Dhane 78, of Gainesville, passed away on Monday, December 14, 2020 at Medical City Denton.

Paul was born on January 17,1942 in Collin County, Texas to Odie B and Ruby Mae (McBee) Dhane. He served in the Army and was Honorably discharged January 1966. After serving in the military, he worked in the oilfield for a short time before moving to Gainesville and becoming a business owner / operator. He was an avid fisherman and still holds the lake record at Moss lake for the biggest largemouth Bass. He enjoyed spending time with all of his friends and family putting on big fish fries with all the fish he would catch.

Paul is survived by his daughter and son-in-law Kimberly and Ron Cook of Gainesville; son and daughter-in-law Danial and Theresa Taylor of Sherman; son and daughter-in-law Tommy and Joella Dhane of Gainesville; brother and sister-in-law George and Faye Dhane of Leesville, LA; sister Debbie Hodges of Wichita Falls; 8 grandchildren, Heather Shelby and Fiancé Trent Clark of Forestburg, Laura and Dustin Carter Of Wichita Falls,  Jaci Lynn Dhane of Gainesville, Brooke and Kyndra Taylor of Sherman, Angela Stewart of Sherman, Tony Taylor of Sherman, and Justin and Cate Krahl of Denton; 11 great-grandchildren Ryder, Weston, Hunter, Darcy, Paisley, Ava, Waylon, Kayden, Richard, Marcus, and Allie; and several nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents Odie B. And Ruby Mae Dhane; stepfather Arthur Langford; brother’s James and Charles Dhane; sister Audrey Raschke.

A memorial service will be held at 3:00 PM Saturday, January 9, 2021 at Geo. J. Carroll & Son Funeral Home with visitation to follow.
