Peggy Hertzog, 67, born in Roswell, New Mexico died in her home in Era on April 20, 2022. Peggy had an adventurous spirit and lived in many different places, including Silver Plume, CO before returning to Texas 20 years ago.
In 1984, Peggy began her career as a nurse and retired as a RN in the field of Surgery. When she wasn’t working, Peggy took great joy in traveling and visiting her friends and family around the world. She loved museums and would spend hours with her grandchildren in the Met and the Natural History Museums in New York.
When she wasn’t traveling or working, Peggy spent her time improving her home, creating a beautiful garden, eating sushi, reading a vast array of literature and she loved classic British cinema.
Peggy is survived by her mother, Mae ‘Dean’ Hertzog of Sherman; niece Alissa Dean and grand-nephew Kaden Dean of Fort Worth; and son Brooks and his family in Connecticut. She leaves behind three granddaughters: Sabrina, Tabitha, and Lulu. She will be greatly missed by her friends and family.
