Graveside services for RC Johnson, 90, of Magnolia, are set for 1:00 PM Monday, May 7, 2018 in the Fairview Cemetery with Rev. Larry Kremling officiating.

RC passed away May 2, 2018 in Magnolia.

RC was born in Saint Jo, Texas September 28th, 1927.  May 2nd, 2018, he joined his beloved Betty Sue, wife of 55 years, and savior Jesus Christ in heaven.

RC never let a day slip by without a gregarious slap on someone’s back or bone crushing handshake with a zest for life that let you know he loved you.  His lifelong service and loyalty in the oilfield took their toll on his body, but you would never know it by the pure determination and joy he lived with throughout his life.  Always dressed in his red coveralls and ready to work, RC never left any doubt that his family was his most prized accomplishment.

RC is survived by son Monte and wife Teresa, four grandsons and three granddaughters in-law: Chance and Kayla, Todd and Cerin, Chase, and Tyle and Kyley, and nine great grandchildren: Morgan, Brandon, Dustin, Trevor, Bayli, Alice, Foster, Cash, and Riley.

His fierce love of his family will never be forgotten by those who were lucky enough to call him Dad or Pipaw.  We will celebrate his life, miss his leadership, and see him again in Heaven.
