Raudine Moser Womacks, 83, of Woodbine, passed away at her residence on January 23, 2022.
“Nene” or “Mom”, as she was affectionately known, was born on October 16, 1938 in Gainesville. She was raised in Gainesville, attended Canada School as a child, and graduated from Gainesville High School where she was a member of the National Honor Society. She drove a truck early in her career but spent the most time as a House Parent at Gainesville State School from where she retired in 1995.
Ms. Womacks enjoyed being in nature; whether it was hunting, fishing, riding four-wheelers or her Mule, or caring for her animals. She was also an artist; as she sewed, quilted, drew, painted, did leatherwork, and loved working crossword puzzles. Ms. Womacks was also known to “occasionally” visit the casino. Above all else, she fiercely loved her family and treasured every moment spent with them.
Survivors include: son, Kevin Breeden of Woodbine; son, Bryce Breeden and wife, Tammy of Gainesville; daughter, Sonsura Pestoni and husband, JM of Corpus Christi; grandchildren: Rachel King, Tyler Bratcher (wife, Sharel), Tessia Fitzpatrick (husband, Michael), Ashley Monk (husband, Richard), Brycee Breeden, Zach Coulter (wife, Asia), Dakota Coulter (wife, Brittany), TaKara Schmidlkofer; and Shalynn Blevins; great-grandchildren: A.J., Zoe, Aurora, Whitley, Lucas, McKinley, and Haven; sister, Gayle Moser of Gainesville; brother, Mo Moser and wife, Rhonda of Gainesville; and niece, Debbie Kerr of Callisburg.
Ms. Womacks was preceded in death by: parents, Odell and Dona (Ballard) Moser; son, Favin Breeden, and sister, Clora June Mabry.
Funeral services will begin at 2:00 P.M., with visitation to follow, on Thursday, January 27, 2022, at Geo. J. Carroll & Son Funeral Home.
