Renita W. Luttmer, of Valley View, TX, passed away November 6, 2023 in Gainesville, TX.  She turned 98 on November 2, 2023.  Renita was born to James Walker and Essie (Ramsey) Walker of Marysville, TX.

Renita was married to Leonard J. Luttmer on November 19, 1942.  She was a homemaker and nurse’s aid at Gainesville Hospital for over 20 years, retiring at age 75.  Mrs. Luttmer was a great seamstress and fantastic cook.  She traveled to Alaska and made several trips to Kalamazoo, MI.  She will be dearly missed.

Survivors include: daughter Shirley Clifton (Dan) of Kalamazoo, MI; daughter Patsy Hacker of Sanger, TX; son Tim Luttmer of Valley View, TX; grandchildren: Tammy LaBonte, Kim Totten (Steve), and Meghan Luttmer; and great-grandchildren: Emily Totten, Justin LaBonte, and Samantha LaBonte.

Mrs. Luttmer was predeceased by: parents James and Essie (Ramsey) Walker; husband Leonard J. Luttmer; daughter Sandra Leveque; grandson Jason Hacker; and two sisters.

A Mass of Christian Burial is scheduled for 10:30 a.m. on Friday, November 10, 2023, at St. Mary’s Catholic Church, Gainesville.  Interment will follow at Valley View Cemetery.  Arrangements are under the care of Geo. J. Carroll & Son Funeral Home, Gainesville.
