Richard Lee Crombie

Richard Lee Crombie, 76, of Gainesville, Texas passed away December 18, 2024 at North Texas Medical
Center Gainesville , Texas . He was born on March 1, 1948 in Nocona, Texas to Hal Robert Crombie and
Elizabeth "Betty" (Cash) Lindsey.

Richard graduated from Wichita Falls High School in 1967, then went on to marry the love of his life,
Peggy Jean Wood on August 25, 1967. He was a member of Hillcrest Church of Christ in Gainesville,
Texas. He retired from Halliburton Services as Bulk Plant Foreman. In Richard's free time he enjoyed
spending time with his family, hunting, going to the lake, fishing, and watching westerns. He was dearly
loved and will be deeply missed by many.

Richard is survived by his wife Peggy, daughter Candy and Son in Law Greg, daughter Stacey Eugster and
Son in Law Eric, his brother Tom Crombie, three grandchildren; Sydne Smith, Aston Beaver and Rodger
Eugster, seven great grandchildren, multiple nieces, nephews and other family members.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Hal Robert Crombie and Elizabeth "Betty" Lindsey, and his
brother Robert Crombie.

Memorial Services will be scheduled at a later time.

Memorial Contributions in honor of Mr. Crombie may be made to Casa of Cooke County.
