Richard Neu

Richard Neu, 79, of Gainesville, passed away July 23, 2020 in Gainesville.

Richard was born November 14, 1940 in Gainesville to Peter Nick and Martha Marie (Hermes) Neu.  He was a graduate of Gainesville High School.  Mr. Neu married Dianne Langston on August 12, 1961 in Gainesville.  He was first employed with Enderby Gas, then spent over 50 years in the floor coverings business, mostly with Joe Walter Lumber Company.  Mr. Neu took great pride in the appearance of his yard and garden.  He also enjoyed fishing and hunting.

Survivors include: wife Dianne Neu of Gainesville; daughter Sherry Biffle and husband Chris of Lake Kiowa; son Kevin Neu and wife Susan of Coppell; son Chris Neu of San Antonio; son Doug Neu of Gainesville; grandchildren: Jordan, Lauren, Grant, Sarah, and Shane; and brother Arnold Neu and wife Linda of Hempstead.

Mr. Neu was preceded in death by: parents Peter and Martha Neu; sister Dorothy Barnes; and sister Juanita Dieter.
