Richard W. Wildbrett, 80, of Gainesville, TX. passed away on November 6, 2020 with his family by his side. He was born on January 16, 1940 in Rochester, New York, to the late Alex Wildbrett and Margaret (Hinderle) Wildbrett.
Richard spent his time working in the printing industry in Rochester before moving to Washington D.C., joining the Government printing office in 1968. It was there he met his wife, Nancy Mattison Wildbrett and they married on October 22, 1971. He later moved to Dallas, Texas, as regional manager of the Government printing office. He retired after 32 years of service. Richard's passion was baseball, and therefore, seemed fitting, that he chose to work at the Rangers Ballpark in Arlington. He also enjoyed the outdoors with his son, Toby. Richard enjoyed telling stories of his deer lease adventures.
Despite his fierce demeanor and quick temper, he was at heart a gentle person who cared deeply for his family.
He is survived by his wife, Nancy; daughter Kristin Townsend and her husband Josh; granddaughter Mattison Paige; grandson Case Logan; sister Celeste Babcock Szczepanski; sister Christine Tripi; and several nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his son Toby.
Due to current circumstances, the family will honor Richard with a private ceremony.
