Robert Thayer Nolan

Funeral Mass for Robert Thayer Nolan, 95, of Gainesville, is set for 10:30 AM Friday, September 13, 2019 at the St. Mary's Catholic Church in Gainesville with the Rev. John Pacheco officiating. Burial will follow in the New Resthaven Cemetery under the direction of the Geo. J. Carroll & Son Funeral Home. A rosary with visitation to follow will be held at 6:00 PM Thursday, September 12, 2019 at the funeral home.

Robert was born on November 26, 1923 in Gainesville to Samuel Patrick Nolan and Hedwig Theola Soehner. He passed away on September 8, 2019 in Ardmore, OK.

He is survived by his niece Mary Baxter of Muenster; niece Roberta McLane and her husband William of Sapulpa, OK; niece Clara McLane of Sapulpa, OK; great-nephew Larry Baxter, Jr. and his daughter Lillie of Gainesville; great-nephew Paul McLane and his wife Kelly of Tulsa, OK; great-nephew Andy McLane, his wife Tonya, and their children Hailey and Zack of Tulsa, OK; great-niece Helen Dietz and her children Jillian and Jack of Cleburne; great-niece Madelyn Rybczyk, her husband Mark, and their child Meranda Hinzman of Dallas; great-niece Vivian Baxter of Gainesville; and great-nephew Collin McLane and his daughter Ja'via of Tulsa, OK.

He was preceded in death by his parents; sister Regina Gieb and her husband Robert; and great-niece Katherine "Katy" McLane.

Pallbearers will be the Knights of Columbus; honorary pallbearers will be Larry Baxter, Jr., Paul McLane, and Andy McClane.
