Ronnie Lovato, 59, of Gainesville, passed away October 30, 2021 in Gainesville.  He was born in Pueblo, Colorado on November 22, 1961.

Ronnie has lived in Gainesville for 41 years but he always enjoyed going back to Colorado to fish along a river or lake.  He was a grandfather that adored spending time with his grandchildren as much as he could.  He loved having family gatherings, barbecuing, playing cornhole and horseshoes with his kids and nephews.

Mr. Lovato worked hard his entire life, but there was no job he loved more than his recent position with the city of Gainesville where he has worked for the last several years.

Survivors include:  wife of 41 years, Nora J. Lovato of Gainesville; daughter, Nichol A. Flores and husband, Leo of Gainesville; daughter, Deana S. Barrientos and husband, Junior of Gainesville; son, Leo Anthony Lovato and partner, Miranda Roy of Gainesville; grandchildren:  Andrea Fraire, Nikolas Fraire (wife, Crystal), Bianca Barrientos, Javier Fraire, Breanna Barrientos, Bella Barrientos, and Little Leo Lovato; great-grandson, Ezekiel Fraire; brother, Leonard Lovato of Gainesville; sister, Patsy Baca of Pueblo, CO; sister, Irene Baca and husband, Leroy of Pueblo, CO; brother, Rich Lovato and wife, Alfreda of Pueblo, CO; sister, Kathy Bueno of Oklahoma City, OK; brother, Randy Lovato of Gainesville; sister, Jeannie Munguia of Midlothian; brother, Jason Lovato of Gainesville; extended family:  Ruben Fraire, Marissa Andujo, Makayla Andujo, Hadley Roy, Henry Roy, Devin Miller; and many nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.

Ronnie was preceded in death by: parents, Leo and Cecilia (Valdez) Lovato; father-in-law, Herman E. Pacheco; father-in-law John Pineda; brother-in-law, Henry Baca; brother-in-law, Paul Bueno; nephew, Marco Bueno; brother-in-law, Edward Pacheco; brother-in-law, Gilbert Pacheco; and brother-in-law, Don Shot.

The family will receive friends from 5:30 to 7:30 P.M. Saturday, November 6, 2021 at Geo. J. Carroll & Son Funeral Home.  The funeral service will begin at 1:00 P.M. Sunday, November 7, 2021 at the funeral home with Pastor Johnny Najera officiating.  Interment will follow at Fairview Cemetery.

Pallbearers for Mr. Lovato are Leo Flores, Junior Barrientos, Nikolas Fraire, Javier Fraire, Jacob Lovato, and David Lovato.
