Ronald “Ronnie” Frank Mosman, 72, of Gainesville, passed away September 7, 2023 in Valley View.
Ronnie was born June 26, 1951 in Gainesville. He attended St. Mary’s School and graduated from Gainesville High School. Mr. Mosman married Donna Fae Wardell on June 1, 1974 at St. Mary’s Catholic Church, Gainesville. He was a farmer, rancher, and owner of MT Trucking. Mr. Mosman was a devoted member of the Catholic faith. Most recently, he attended St. William of Vercelli in Carthage and was involved with the Knights of Columbus. When visiting his hometown of Gainesville, he enjoyed attending St. Mary’s Catholic Church. Mr. Mosman liked to attend auctions and antique car shows, and enjoyed collecting .30-30s. He was happiest when surrounded by friends and family, who were often on the receiving end of one of his jokes or pranks.
Mr. Mosman was preceded in death by: parents Leo and Bernadine (Sicking) Mosman; daughter Shanna Leigh Mosman Paske; and brother Jimmy Mosman.
Survivors include: wife Donna Fae Mosman of Valley View; son Michael Mosman (Lisa) of Carthage; grandchildren Jeffrey Mosman, Brandon Paske, and Kaley Mosman; brother Gerald Mosman (Glenda) of Whitesboro; sister Monica Laux (Bill) of Gainesville; sister-in-law Barbara Mosman of Gainesville; brother Gary Mosman of Gainesville; sister Bernadette Lowe of Moore, OK; sister Jeanette Maloney (Tom) of Whitesboro; and numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
A Rosary prayer service, followed by a time of visitation, is scheduled for 6:00 p.m. on Sunday, September 10, 2023, at Geo. J. Carroll & Son Funeral Home, Gainesville. A Mass of Christian Burial is scheduled for 10:30 a.m. on Monday, September 11, 2023 at St. Mary’s Catholic Church, Gainesville. A committal service will follow at Fairview Cemetery, Gainesville.
Serving as pallbearers are: John Mosman, Jason Mosman, David Mosman, Jaret Reaves, Doug Schmitz, and Aaron Fuhrmann.
Memorial contributions may be made to the Knights of Columbus.
