Ruby Mae Brackeen

Graveside services for Ruby Mae Brackeen, 93, of Gainesville, are set for 10:00 AM Tuesday, June 8, 2021 at the Fairview Cemetery in Gainesville with Bro. Gary Carter officiating under the direction of the Geo. J. Carroll & Son Funeral Home. A visitation will be held at 7:00 PM Monday, June 7, 2021 at the funeral home.

Ruby was born on July 5, 1927 in Gainesville to Alvin Earl Pool and Lula Lee (Dooley) Pool. She passed away on June 3, 2021 in Gainesville.

Ruby is survived by her daughter Wanda Gail Smith and her significant other David Reiter of Muenster; daughter Charlotte Brackeen of Saint Jo; son Don Brackeen and his wife Mollie of Callisburg; daughter Kathy Barker of Longview; son Jackie Brackeen of Gainesville; and daughter Amie Mackey and her husband Rusty of Callisburg. She is also survived by several grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and great-great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents; husband Leeroy Brackeen; daughter Earlene McBride; daughter Laura Brackeen; son Arvil Brackeen; son Darrell Brackeen; grandson Eric McBride; and grandson Chris Chisum.
