Ruth Ann Cloer

A Funeral Service for Ruth Ann Cloer, 82, of Wylie TX, is set for 11:00 a.m. on Thursday, April 24, 2025 with visitation beginning at 10: 00 a.m. at Geo. J. Carroll & Son Funeral Home in Gainesville. Interment will follow at the New Hope Cemetery in Mountain Springs.

Ruth passed away on April 17th in Plano, TX. She was born on July 20, 1942 in Thackerville, OK to Arzo G. Morgan and Tommye Opal (Comer) Morgan. She was a graduate of Thackerville High School in 1960. Ruth married Jimmy Royce in 1961 and they remained married until his passing in 2018.

Ruth was a very proud and loving mother, grandmother and great grandmother. Her love for her family was eternal. She was also an avid fan of Elvis Presley and Willie Nelson. One of her fondest memories was when her granddaughter Jordan took her to see Willie Nelson in concert. While she was a devoted homemaker most of her life, she worked for a long period of time for JCPenney’s as a sales associate.

Survivors are her son Jimmy Kevin Cloer and wife Malissa Ann (Blankenship) Cloer of Wylie, TX; granddaughters Ashley Nicole (Cloer) Roberts, her husband Aaron Roberts of Plano and Jordan Lindsey Cloer of Taylor, TX. Ruth is also survived by her precious great grandsons, Mason and Lucas Homer and Hudson Roberts.

She was preceded in death by her husband Jimmy Royce Cloer, father Arzo Morgan, mother Tommye Opal Morgan and brothers Marion Morgan, AG. Morgan, Max Morgan and Marlin Morgan.
