Scott Daniel Fields, 49, of Gainesville, TX passed away on August 28, 2021, in Denton, TX.

Scott will be memorialized on Thursday, September 2, 2021, at the Geo. J. Carroll & Son Funeral Home in Gainesville, Tx. at 3:00 pm.

Scott was born on February 3, 1972, in Springdale, AR to Thomas Daniel Holder and Lula Belle (Main) Holder.

Scott graduated from Washburn High School in Washburn, MO in 1990. He is a veteran of the U.S. Army (1996-2007). He was deployed to Iraq during Operation Iraqi Freedom and earned the Global War on Terrorism Service Medal, Iraq Campaign Medal with 2 campaign stars, Armed Forces Reserve Medal with “M” device, National Defense Service Medal, and Army Service Ribbon among others.

He is survived by his wife of 24 years, Tamara Lee Fields of Gainesville, TX; sons Craig Alan Fields (wife McKaylia) of Quincy, IL, Austin Dale Fields of Seligman, MO, and William Scott Fields of Gainesville, TX; daughters Nicole Danielle Fields (fiancé Dustin York) and Sierra Celeste Hall, both of Gainesville, TX; grandchildren Anastasia Sage Hall and two more on the way. He is also survived by his mother, Lula Belle Fields of Purdy, MO and father, Thomas Daniel Holder (wife Kay) of Versailles, IL; brothers James Gladwell (wife Juliette) of Rogers, AR, Dale Eugene Fields (wife Renae) of Washburn, MO, and Rusty Ovan Fields (wife Melissa) of Purdy, MO; sisters Raynette Ross of Pryor, OK, Rhonda Middleton (husband Donnie) of Stotts City, MO, Tammy Large (husband Curtis) of Meredosia, IL, Patricia Forster of Pittsfield, IL, Jess Holder of Mt. Sterling, IL, and Danielle Hartman of Versailles, IL; and numerous aunts, uncles, nephews, nieces, and cousins.

He was preceded in death by his stepfather, Dale Eugene Fields of Pierce City, MO.
