Shane Ford

Shane Ford (52) born July 6, 1972, a resident of Gainesville, Texas, passed away on November 10, 2024, at North Texas Medical Center. Born in Jonesboro, Arkansas, Shane relocated to Gainesville and became a part of the community he called home for many years. He was the beloved son of Janis Ashlock and Lawrence Ford.

Shane's life was marked by his unwavering dedication to family and friends. He leaves behind a legacy of love through his mother Janis Ashlock, whom he cared for and loved deeply. He also leaves behind his daughters Shana Ford, Lauren Ford, and Lillian Ford; as well as sons Jacob Ford and Briar Ford—all of whom carry forward his memory with pride. Shane's spirit also enveloped his eight beloved grandchildren—Kyle Turner, Skylin Shugars, Trinity Shugars, Abigail Gibson, Jonah Johnson, Silas Johnson, Charlie Ford, and Chase Ford. His sister Angie Trayler also survives him, providing strength to their family during this time. Shane cultivated friendships throughout his life that will continue to cherish the warmth and humor he so naturally shared. His passing is deeply mourned not only by those who had the privilege of knowing him personally but also by an extended network of family members who held him dear.

In this time of sorrowful reflection on a life gone too soon yet vividly remembered—a comforting thought remains: while Shane may have departed this world physically—his enduring spirit lives on in each heart touched along life's journey together with precious memories forever treasured within them all.
