Sharon Gail Bond

Sharon Gail Bond, 78, of Gainesville, passed away December 29, 2022 in Gainesville.

Sharon was born January 31, 1944 in Gainesville and graduated from Gainesville High School.  She enjoyed baking, gardening, shopping, and treasured her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.  She was a member of Crossroads Baptist Church.

Ms. Bond was preceded in death by: parents George Bazel and Abbanell Muriel (Warner) Bond; grandson Aaron Rutledge; brother Mickey Bond; brother Harold Bond; and sister Sandra Bond Sims.

Survivors include: daughter Tammy Gail Powell of Gainesville; son Ethan Powell and wife Bettina of Lewisville; son Jonathan “J.P.” Powell of Decatur; grandchildren Mariah Stinson of Burneyville, OK, Chelsea Putnam of Wynnewood, OK, Jessica Linnit of Tulsa, OK, Lance Beck of Gainesville, Leah Morrison of Story, AR, Jonathan Thurman of Hot Springs, AR, and Samantha Johnson of Dallas; and numerous great-grandchildren.

A memorial service for Mrs. Bond is scheduled for 10:30 AM Thursday, January 5, 2022 at Crossroads Baptist Church with Rev. Randy Taylor officiating.
