Funeral services for Silviano Villanueva, 85, of Gainesville, are set for 12:00 pm Wednesday, October 17, 2018 at the St. Mary's Catholic Church. Burial will follow in the Fairview Cemetery under the direction of the Geo. J. Carroll & Son Funeral Home. A rosary will be held at 6:00 pm on Tuesday, October 16, 2018 at the funeral home.
Silviano was born on May 4, 1933 in Mexico to Eligio Villanueva and Gregoria Garcia Villanueva. He passed away on October 13, 2018 in Gainesville.
He is survived by his wife Carmelita Villanueva of Gainesville; daughter Alva Villanueva and husband Juan Antonio Zubieta of Mexico City, Mexico; daughter Reina Rocha and husband Jesus Rocha of Gainesville; son Joel Villanueva and wife Maria de Jesus Govea of Houston; 10 grandchildren; two brothers; and three sisters.
Silviano was preceded in death by his parents; daughter Cilbia Villanueba; one brother; and three sisters.
