Stephen Waymon Bryant

Stephen Waymon Bryant, 54, of Gainesville, passed away February 22, 2023 in Gainesville.

Stephen was born November 6, 1968 in Gainesville.  He graduated Gainesville High School and attended North Central Texas College.  Stephen spent time as a machinist was most recently employed at Saffron.  His favorite pastime was watching and following sports.  He loved the Cowboys, Rangers, and playing Fantasy Football.

Mr. Bryant was preceded in death by: father Waymon Bryant; and mother Barbara Day Bryant.

Survivors include: cousin Sheril Barthold of Thackerville, OK and her daughter Brandi Hosking; step-mother Lou Bryant of Gainesville; step-brother Tim McLaughlin and wife Lynn of Gainesville; uncle Tim Day and wife Donna of Woodbine; cousin Lyndon Lee of Denton; and several cousins.

The family will receive friends from 6:00 to 7:00 p.m. on Thursday, February 23, 2023 at Geo. J. Carroll & Son Funeral Home.  A graveside service is scheduled for 10:00 a.m. on Friday, February 24 at New Resthaven Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to: Noah’s Ark Animal Shelter, Sivells Bend School Library, or a foundation supporting research or treatment of kidney disease.
