Sue Wilson

Sue Wilson, 71, of Gainesville, passed away September 13, 2021 in Gainesville.

Sue was born February 12, 1950.  She spent most of her childhood in Mississippi.  Mrs. Wilson was entrepreneurial and ambitious, always having been self-employed.  She was most recently a co-owner of Ron’s Bargain Barn and sold Paparazzi jewelry.  Mrs. Wilson enjoyed visiting garage sales and thrifting, but most of all, she loved helping others.

Mrs. Wilson was preceded in death by: parents, Jay and Jackie Evans; brothers: Ronald Jackson, Jerry Jackson, and Jay Evans Jr.; and sister, Theresia Moffitt.

Survivors include: husband, Ron Wilson of Gainesville; son, Richard Jay Evans and wife, Sandra of North Richland Hills; son, Joe Bob Evans and wife, Louise of Chico; son, Buddy Aubry Evans and wife, Rachel of Gilmer; daughter, Stacy Renea Strong and husband, Roy of Fort Worth; 14 grandchildren; 7 great-grandchildren; brother, Bill Jackson and wife, Anita of Wichita Falls; sister, Margie Quillen and husband, Danny of Pottsboro; sister, Barbara Evans of Abilene; brother, Rueben Evans of Portales, NM; and numerous nieces, nephews, and other extended family.

A funeral service is scheduled for 10:00 A.M. on Tuesday, September 21, 2021, at Geo. J. Carroll & Son Funeral Home.  The family will receive friends one hour prior to the funeral.  Interment will follow the service at Sycamore Cemetery in Decatur.
