Sylvia Marie Valdez

A graveside service for Sylvia Valdez, 87, of Gainesville, is scheduled for 10:30 AM on Wednesday, October 10, 2018 at New Resthaven Cemetery.  A Rosary, followed by visitation, will be recited at 6:00 PM on Tuesday, October 9 at Geo. J. Carroll & Son Funeral Home.

Mrs. Valdez passed away October 7, 2018 in Gainesville.

Sylvia was born April 17, 1931 in Lindsay to John and Theresa (Geray) Mosser.  She was an internal auditor in the banking industry for many years.  Mrs. Valdez was happiest while gardening in her flower beds and spending time with her family.

Survivors include: son Ron Krebs and wife Lora; daughter Jennifer Cannon; daughter Cheryl Sutton; daughter Karen Green and husband Gary; daughter-in-law Lisa Krebs; step-daughter Debbie Foote; grandchildren: Ryan and Michelle Krebs, Devin and Amanda Krebs, Jason and Jessica Cannon, Lesley and Kenny Mozingo, Teresa and Bobby Harrison, Tammy Cannon, Ashley Cannon, Erica and T.J. Romaguera, Alissa Krebs, Matthew Sutton, Travis and Courtney Sutton, Courtney Sewell, and Trey Goldsmith; and great-grandchildren: Reese and Grant Krebs, Chace, Carsyn, and Brody Krebs, Owen and Collin Cannon, Breann Mozingo, Hud, Reed, and Riley Harrison, Dustin Crockett, Kanon Krebs, Walker, Witten, and Blakely Sutton, and Maddox, Ada, and Maggie Sewell.

Mrs. Sylvia was preceded in death by: her parents; husband Johnnie Valdez; son Bobby Krebs; brother Steve Mosser; and brother Gene Mosser.

Serving as pallbearers are Mrs. Valdez’s grandsons: Jason Cannon, Ryan Krebs, Devin Krebs, Matthew Sutton, Travis Sutton, and Trey Goldsmith.
