Talley Murrell Melear

Funeral services for Talley Murrell Melear, 81, of Bedford, most recently of San Antonio, are scheduled for 1:00 PM on Wednesday, March 11, 2020 at Geo. J. Carroll & Son Funeral Home with Pastor Randy Taylor, Jr. officiating.  Interment will follow at Fairview Cemetery.

Ms. Melear passed away March 5, 2020 in San Antonio.

Talley was born June 29, 1938 in Gainesville to Elbert Decatur and Evelyn Muriel (Long) Prine.  She received an Associate of Arts in Business from Northlake College in 1981 and became a marketing professional and business owner.  Although she held many interests, as an entrepreneurial spirit, Ms. Melear desired to assist others in enjoying a fulfilled life.

Survivors include: daughter Sheree Barber and husband Gary of San Antonio; grandson Michael Barber and wife Melanie of Ovilla; grandson David Barber and wife Stephanie of San Antonio; grandson Chris Barber and wife Danika of Highland Ranch, CO; four great-grandsons; and three great-granddaughters.

Ms. Melear was preceded in death by: her parents; sister Mary Eloise Prine; sister Una Jean Prine Sorrell; brother Elbert Decatur Prine, Jr.; and brother Billy Dalhart Prine.
