Teresa Karen Jenkins

Teresa Karen Jenkins, 75, of Rosston, passed away peacefully at her home on Friday, January 13th, 2023.

Teresa was born December 17th, 1947 to John and Willie Mae Richardson in Fort Worth.  After Teresa graduated from Samuel High School, she went on to study medical transcription at Baylor Hospital then to work at several different hospitals until the birth of her daughter.

Teresa is survived by her devoted and loving husband Jimmy Jenkins, the love of her life for over 56 years, and her daughter Amy Siler, and son-in-law Chris Siler.  She is forever cherished and remembered by her 2 granddaughters, Arrington Siler, and Amelia Siler.  Teresa is also survived by siblings Debra, Joan, Delaina, and Johnny along with several nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.  Teresa was preceded in death by her parents John and Willie Mae Richardson.

Teresa had a loving and vibrant personality.  She loved to laugh and had a very quick wit and sense of humor.  Teresa had a passion for art and many of her works adorn the walls of the home she shared with Jimmy for over 50 years.  Teresa also loved photography and was rarely without a camera in her hand capturing special moments.  Teresa was an avid reader and enjoyed spending time losing herself in a great book.  Teresa loved to listen to music from a variety of artists including Elvis Presley and the Bee Gees. Finally, and most importantly, Teresa believed in eating dessert first and that, of course, it must be chocolate.

There will be a visitation on Sunday, January 15th from 5:00 to 6:00 PM at Geo. J. Carroll & Son Funeral Home.  Funeral services will be held on Monday, January 16th at 1:00 PM at the funeral home.  The burial will take place immediately following in Rosston Cemetery where Teresa will be laid to rest close to her parents.
