Terrence "Terry" Lee Jackson

Funeral services Terrence "Terry" Lee Jackson, 54, of Gainesville, is set for 1:00 PM Saturday, September 5, 2020 at the Geo. J. Carroll & Son Funeral Home with the Rev. Frank Lorne officiating. Burial will follow in the Fairview Cemetery under the direction of Geo. J. Carroll & Son Funeral Home. A visitation will take place one hour before the service at 12:00 PM Saturday at the funeral home.

Terry Jackson of Gainesville, TX was born on May 15, 1966 to Willie Mae (Ward) Jackson and Hubert Lee Jackson in Gainesville, TX.  He was the baby of the bunch; the youngest of 5 children.  Terry attended school in Gainesville, TX throughout grade school, middle and graduated Gainesville High School in 1984.  Terry attended Navarro College where he played collegiate football for two years.  Thereafter, he continued his studies at East Texas State University in Commerce, TX.  Terry proudly served as a police officer from 1995 to 2010 in his hometown. Thereafter, Terry worked in the oilfield and his latest position was serving as security guard for the Winstar casino.

Terry leaves to cherish his memory his parents, Hubert and Willie Mae Jackson; girlfriend Anissa Arnett; sisters Gayleth Laurence (Norman), and Margret Marshall; brothers Gary Marshall (Shari) and Donald Marshall (Julie); children Terrius Purvey, Terrence “T” Jackson, Jr., Treyvon Jackson, Kiasha Moore, Jessica Moore, and Kandice Jackson ; seven grandchildren; aunts Kathy Holloway (Johnnie), Brenda McBride (Bobby), Janice Henderson, Sharon Fry, Gilda Flowers, and a host of nieces and nephews, other relatives, and friends.

He was preceded in death by his brother Danny Jackson and a son LeRon Jackson.
