A graveside service for Tommy Harrison Holliday, 71, of Gainesville, TX, is scheduled for 10:00 a.m. on Friday, September 8, at Fairview Cemetery (Pavilion) with Bishop David Barnett of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints officiating. Arrangements are under the care of Geo. J. Carroll & Son Funeral Home.
Mr. Holliday passed away on August 27, in Gainesville.
Tommy was born March 24, 1952, in Denton, OK to Homer Lester and Maggie Mae (Luna) Holliday, Sr. He worked in the oil fields and various jobs. Tommy enjoyed being a lifelong Dallas Cowboy’s fan and reading/studying about World War II.
Survivors include: brother H.B. Holliday of Midland; brother Red Hunt of Odessa; sister Bobby Gaye Mulkey; and many nieces and nephews.
Mr. Holliday was preceded in death by: his parents; brother Homer “Junior” Holliday; brother Robert Hunt; brother Stephen Hunt; brother Harvey Mulkey; brother Donald Mulkey; brother Jimmy Mulkey; and sister Louis Hunt.
A special thanks to Dale Alexander and David Bells for their friendship and kindness to Uncle Tommy. In lieu of flowers, a memorial may be made to the NCTC Foundation.
