Vicki Pipes

Vicki “Nana” Carr-Pipes, 66, of Gainesville, TX, passed away peacefully, surrounded by loving family on August 24, 2023 in Gainesville.

Vicki was born in Gainesville to Glenda and Tommy Carr on March 3, 1957. She was raised in Gainesville and attended Gainesville High School. Vicki was blessed with two daughters in 1976 and 1978, then went on to marry the love of her life, John Pipes, in 1989.

Vicki enjoyed spending time with family and friends, making wreaths, watching her grandchildren’s sports, Cowboys football, crocheting, and making baked goods.

Vicki was preceded in death by her parents, Glenda and Tommy Carr; and her grandmother, Lucille Steele.

She leaves behind two daughters: Tammi Ford of Gainesville and Carla Ford-Dennis of Gainesville; five grandchildren: Madalyn Ford of Gainesville, Karlee Dennis and husband Alejandro Saucedo of Gainesville, Mason Ford and wife Jayden Ellison of Gainesville, Braedon Schneider of Gainesville, and Haylee Dennis of Gainesville; and her two great-grandchildren: Leah Saucedo of Gainesville and Rosalie Saucedo of Gainesville. Vicki is also survived by two brothers: Doug Carr of Gainesville, and Tommy Carr and wife Holly Carr of Guthrie, OK; and one sister, Patti Carr Reed of Gainesville.

Vicki will be greatly missed by her entire family and lifelong friends.

A viewing will be held at Geo. J. Carroll & Son Funeral Home on Sunday, August 27, 2023 from 6:00 - 7:30 p.m., with a graveside service scheduled for the following morning at Fairview Cemetery’s pavilion on Monday, August 28, 2023 at 10:00 a.m.

Honoring Vicki’s wishes, the family asks that all in attendance wear whatever they wish.
