Victor August Koelzer

Graveside services for Victor August Koelzer, 90, of Gainesville, are set for 10:00 AM Wednesday, February 3, 2021 at the St. Peter's Catholic Cemetery in Lindsay with Rev. Matthew Tatyrek officiating. A rosary with visitation to follow will be held at 6:00 PM Tuesday, February 2, 2021 at the Geo. J. Carroll & Son Funeral Home.

Victor was born on December 14, 1930 in Muenster to Peter Frank Koelzer and Gertrude Thresa (Sicking) Koelzer. He passed away on January 29, 2021 in Gainesville.

Victor worked for Weber, then left to pursue a career with Breck Operating as a production supervisor. He farmed his land raising goats and sheep, later raising cows. He was a lifetime member of the VFW post 1922 and a Korean War veteran. He was a member of the Dallas Model A club and Studebaker Car Club.

He is survived by his son Kenneth Koelzer and his wife Debbie of Gainesville; daughter Ginger Stoffels of Gainesville; granddaughter Angela Hacker of Gainesville; grandson Adam Koelzer and his wife Tiffany of Gainesville; great-grandchildren Chase Hacker, Nichole Hacker, Elizabeth Hacker, Joshua Koelzer, Raymond Koelzer, and Zackary Hankins; sister Alice Hermes of Gainesville; sister Aileen Knabe of Muenster; sister Veronica Jones of Madill, OK; brother Wilfred Koelzer of Keller; brother Norman Koelzer of Muenster; and brother Melvin Koelzer and his wife Bobbi of Muenster. He is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins.

Victor was preceded in death by his Parents; wife Marie Koelzer; great-granddaughter Victoria Maria Hayes; three brothers-in-law’s; and two sisters-in-law’s.
