A graveside service for Vinetta Estelle Miller, 78, of Gainesville, is scheduled for 10:00 AM Friday, December 29, 2023 in Fairview Cemetery with Rusty Drye and Kevin Miller officiating. A visitation will be held from 5:00 to 7:00 PM on Thursday at Geo. J. Carroll & Son Funeral Home.
Mrs. Miller passed away December 25, 2023 in Gainesville. She was born on April 20, 1945 in Ranger to John Earl, Sr. and Bertha Leola (McGlothin) Blackwell.
Vinetta married Richard Harland Miller June 24, 1967 in Ranger. She graduated from Ranger High School in 1963 where she was an outstanding twirler. She was a long-time member of Hillcrest Church of Christ and worked at First State Bank for over 32 years. She dearly loved her family, especially her grand and great-grandchildren, spending as much time as she could with them. Having such a great sense of humor, she was famous for her funny stories that kept people laughing. She also had a kind heart for animals, enjoying the time she spent with her pets.
Mrs. Miller is survived by her daughter Kelli Bond of Gainesville; son and daughter-in-law Kevin and Cynthia Miller of Harlingen; grandchildren: Madyson and Rusty Drye, Landon and Erica Bond, Kailey Miller and Allison Miller; great-grandchildren Samson Drye and Maycie Drye; brother and sister-in-law Walter and Candy Blackwell of Carrizo Springs; sister-in-law and brother-in-law Debi and Ed Zielinski of Callisburg; sister-in-law Sandy Corbett of Dexter.
Vinetta was preceded in death by her husband, parents, and her brothers John Blackwell, Jr. and JT Blackwell, sisters Luella Weaver and Donna Bell.
