Mrs. Snider was born March 26, 1941, in Gainesville, to George and Bertha Andrews. She joined the Lord March 24, 2025.
Juanita, lovingly referred to as Momma, Banny, Grandma, and other names she answered to, was born and raised in Gainesville. She grew up with 2 sisters and 4 brothers. In 1958, she married Kenneth Don Snider. Together they embraced the joys of having 2 daughters and 4 sons plus one bonus daughter during their 58 years of marriage. They were also enriched by the addition of 21 grandchildren and 14 great-grandchildren with one more on the way. Together the family shared a love of fishing, hunting, and camping at the lake. She was always known as the camp cook but truly could out fish all of us. Unfortunately, Don passed in 2015.
In 2021, Juanita discovered a renewed sense of happiness when she married Gene Padgett. They had many adventures together including trips to Las Vegas and cruising on Carnival Cruise Ships to Mexico with family and friends. She could be found sipping on a glass of wine with Gene under the stars in the middle of the ocean. They always enjoyed spending time together, usually over a favorite cup of coffee. Due to this new found love, 3 more children were added to the family; Frank, Kevin, and Heather Padgett.
Mrs. Sniders survivors include her husband Gene Padgett of Gainesville; daughters and their families: Nita Williams (Mark and Jaxon) of Callisburg, Donna Day (Tim and Kenna and Kannon) of Woodbine; sons and their families: James Shannon (Doris) of Kingston, OK, Roy Snider of Callisburg, Matt Backaloo (Erin and Mattox) of Sallisaw, OK. She is also survived by many nieces, nephews, and other family including bonus daughter Tammie Gray.
Juanita was preceded in death by her husband Don, her parents, 2 sisters, 4 brothers, son Dale Andrews and 2 precious grandsons Kenneth Wesley Fails in 2013 and Gary Dwayne Buckaloo in 2018.
We express our heartfelt gratitude to Three Oaks Hospice and our dear friend Jane Pool.
