Graveside services for Virginia Rose (Otto) Dougherty, 80, of Gainesville, are set for 11:00 AM Friday, May 4, 2018 at Fairview Cemetery with Fr. John Pacheco officiating. A rosary with visitation to follow will be held on Thursday, May 3, 2018 at 7:00 PM at the Geo. J. Carroll & Son Funeral Home.
Virginia was born on March 28, 1938 in Muenster to W.W. Otto and Anna Teresa (Reiter) Otto. She passed away on May 1, 2018 in Gainesville.
She is survived by her husband Wallace Dougherty of Gainesville; son Mark Dougherty of Gainesville; daughter Dana Dougherty and husband David Gunn of Dallas; and brother Herbert Otto and wife Ruby of Arlington.
Virginia was preceded in death by her parents; brother Clifford Otto; sister Helen Arendt; brother Kenneth Otto; sister Patricia Schumacher.
Memorial contributions may be made to Home Hospice of Cooke County and St. Mary's Catholic School.
