Wanda June (Sharp) Huneycutt, 87, of Gainesville, passed away July 9, 2022 in Denton.
Wanda was born April 20, 1935 in Era, TX to Arthur D. and Carrie Lue (Durham) Sharp. She married J. Howard Huneycutt on March 11, 1950. Wanda managed their welding business while also being a homemaker and loving mother to five children. She enjoyed family trips to Branson, MO and spending time outdoors with her partner in life, Howard, whether it was hunting, fishing, or visiting the lake house.
Survivors include: son Jim Huneycutt of Euless; son Kevin Huneycutt and wife CeeCee of Gainesville; daughter Rhonda Arend and husband Chuck of Gainesville; son Ronnie Huneycutt of Gainesville; 13 grandchildren; 29 great-grandchildren; and brother Glenn Dale Sharp of Gainesville.
Mrs. Huneycutt was preceded in death by: parents Arthur and Carrie Sharp; husband of 70 years, Howard Huneycutt; and son Randy Huneycutt.
Graveside services are scheduled for 10:00 AM on Wednesday, July 13, 2022, at the Fairview Cemetery Pavilion, Gainesville. Mrs. Huneycutt will lie in repose at Geo. J. Carroll & Son Funeral Home from 1:00 to 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday, July 12.
