Marvin Wayne Dunn, 84, of Gainesville, passed away June 14, 2021 in Gainesville.
Wayne was born September 29, 1936 in Pilot Point, TX to Lillian Gladys Ruff and Clem Fate Dunn, Sr. He played football for and graduated from Pilot Point High School. He married Marcie Tuggle on November 11, 1961. Mr. Dunn began working at Peterbuilt as a security guard while the plant was still under construction and eventually retired from Quality Assurance following more than 20 years of employment. He was a car aficionado and enjoyed racing. Mr. Dunn also enjoyed playing golf and loved his family greatly, including his dogs.
Mr. Dunn was preceded in death by: his parents; brother, Clem Dunn, Jr.; and brother, Malloy Dunn.
Survivors include: wife, Marcie Dunn of Gainesville; daughter Tammy Gilbreath and husband, Allen of Gainesville; son, Victor Dunn; grandchildren: Mandy Long (Colby), and Lauren Graue (Brian); great-grandchildren: Noah, Adley, Amelia, Harper, Collin, and Cooper; brother, Tuck Dunn and wife, Sandra of Greenville, SC; and sister-in-law, Barbara Barton and husband, Kenneth of Euless.
A funeral service is scheduled for 11:00 A.M. on Friday, June 18, 2021, at Geo. J. Carroll & Son Funeral Home. Interment at Fairview Cemetery will take place privately.
Memorial contributions may be made to Heart-to-Heart Hospice.
