On Saturday, April 25, 2020, Wayne Glenn Moore, 74, of Gainesville, passed from this life after a short illness. A graveside service will be held on Wednesday, April 29, 2020 at 10:00 AM at the Oak Grove Cemetery with the Rev. Larry Kremling officiating. A visitation will be held on Tuesday, April 28, 2020 from 1:00 - 5:00 PM at the Geo. J. Carroll & Son Funeral Home.
Wayne was born on June 1, 1945 in Gainesville to Carl Edward Moore and Mary Monta (Sutton) Moore. Wayne married Linda Stewart on April 29, 1967 in Gainesville. Wayne was a sewing machine mechanic by trade. His career started with Russell Newman, Linda Jo Shoe Factory, National Supply, Nocona Boots, and NCTC.
Wayne is survived by his wife Linda Moore of Gainesville; daughter Gurli Coambes and her husband Stephen of Tarpon Springs, FL; son Thomas "Tommy" Wayne Moore and his wife Paula of Gainesville; five beautiful granddaughters Brittanye Whitaker and her husband Brycen of Enid, OK, Morgan Tobias and her husband Connor of Gainesville, Jordon Moore of College Station, Caramon Coambes of Tarpon Springs, FL, and Bryn Coambes of Tarpon Springs, FL; two great-grandchildren Bowen Whitaker and Bristol Whitaker of Enid, OK. He is also survived by his loving sister Betty Garrett and her husband Glenn of Gainesville; sister Brenda Gently of Valley View; brother Don Hastings and his wife Gurli of Richardson; brother-in-law Bob Johnson of Valley View; brother-in-law William Stewart and his wife Mary of Gainesville; brother-in-law Rocky Glover and his wife Barbara of McKinney; and several nieces and nephews.
Wayne was preceded in death by his parents; brother Robert Hastings; and sister Bobbie Moore Johnson.
