William Earle Gilbert, 53, of Gainesville, passed away September 16, 2021 in Denison.
Will was born November 30, 1967 in Barstow, CA. He was raised in Texas and attended school in Duncanville. Mr. Gilbert worked a variety of jobs until he began counseling others. This passion of his allowed Mr. Gilbert to preach and teach the importance of “acceptance” in a person’s life. He began working as a tow-truck driver in 2010 and had been with Hunter’s since November of 2013. Mr. Gilbert truly loved his job and enjoyed helping others in their time of need. In his free time, Mr. Gilbert could often be found at the lake, either fishing, boating, or cooking out. He also loved sports, particularly football, and was a huge Dallas Cowboys fan. Mr. Gilbert treasured the time he spent with his family and his pets, Loca and Gia.
Mr. Gilbert was preceded in death by: grandparents, Herbert Earl and Emma Jane Gilbert; and grandparents, Robert Maxie and Audrey Viola Burton.
Survivors include: son, Nicholas Gilbert of Garland; son, Stephen Gilbert and wife, Valerie of Crandall; son, Dylan Taylor of College Station; four grandchildren; father, William Earl Gilbert and wife, Sue of The Colony; mother, Audrey Elaine Gilbert of Duncanville; sister, Laura Elaine Boysen of Denton; brother, Darrell Wayne Gilbert of Roan Mountain, TN; step-brother, Craig Vaughn and wife, Amber of Wills Point; step-brother, James Nix and wife, Chrissie of Denison; best friend, Wendy Brown of Gainesville; and numerous beloved aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
A Celebration of Life is scheduled for 6:00 P.M. on Thursday, October 7, 2021, at Geo. J. Carroll & Son Funeral Home, 602 S. Lindsay St., Gainesville, TX 76240.
