Wilson Stinnett

Wilson Stinnett, 79, of Gainesville, passed away August 1, 2022.

Wilson was born October 22, 1942 in Decatur, TX.  He married Stella Neu on November 9, 1963 at St. Mary’s Catholic Church in Gainesville.  While he was obtaining his Bachelor’s Degree from North Texas State, Mr. Stinnett began working at National Supply as a janitor.  Over a 30-year career he worked his way up through many positions, retiring as Plant Superintendent.  Mr. Stinnett also worked for Brown Motor Co. and Texoma Web Printing.  He enjoyed spending time at the lake and most of all, the golf course.  He enjoyed the company of his loving family and golfing buddies.

Mr. Stinnett was preceded in death by: parents Woodrow Wilson and Clara Pearl (Cogburn); and brother Richard.

Survivors include: wife Stella (Neu) Stinnett; daughter Pam Hoedebeck and husband Keith; son Ronnie Stinnett and wife Jennifer; grandchildren: Josh, Jacob and wife Casey, Chisam, Brady and wife Shelbie; great-granddaughter Millie; and sister Sharon Stinnett.

A Rosary Prayer Service will begin at 6:00 P.M. on Thursday, August 4, at Geo. J. Carroll & Son Funeral Home, with visitation to follow.  A Memorial Mass will begin at 10:30 a.m. on Friday, August 5, at St. Mary’s Catholic Church.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to St. Mary’s School.
