James Beck

Graveside service for James Beck, 74, of Gainesville have been set for Thursday January 6, 2011 at 2 pm at the Fairview Cemetery Pavilion with Rev. Hubert Wright officiating under the direction of the Geo J Carroll & Son Funeral Home. James passed away on January 1, 2011 in Oklahoma City.

James was born on January 10, 1936 to Eddie Dixion and Trinnie May Reed Beck.

James is survived by his wife: Patsy Beck of Gainesville; daughters: Vickie and her husband Church Grammer of Azel, and Judy Mangrum of Gainesville; son: Jimmy and his wife Sondra Beck of Ft. Worth; sisters: Pauline Collings of Gainesville, Ella Mae Blakeley of Ft. Worth, Mary Trammel of Burkeville, Barbara and her husband Troy Strickland of Farmington, New Mexico; brother: Donald Beck of Ft. Worth; 4 grandchildren; 3 great-great grandchildren; and numerous nephews, nieces, and cousins.

James was preceded in death by his parents; brothers: Ernest, Travis, Alan, Stanley, and Raymond.
