John Spencer Fredrick, Jr.

Funeral services for John Spencer Fredrick, Jr., 53, of Muenster, are scheduled for 10:30 a.m. on Friday, February 28, 2014 at Friendship Church in Saint Jo with Curt Simmons officiating. Interment will follow in Coker Cemetery. The family will received friends from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. on Thursday, February 27 at Geo. J. Carroll & Son Funeral Home.

Mr. Fredrick joined his Heavenly Father on Monday evening, February 24, 2014 in Muenster, surrounded by his loved ones.

Mr. Fredrick was born on May 22, 1960 in Oklahoma City, OK. He was raised in Irving and attended Abilene Christian University. In addition to a career in banking and commercial real estate, Mr. Fredrick was the manager of his family’s ranch, Fredrick Family Ranch, as well as vineyard manager and part owner of the family’s Blue Ostrich Winery and Vineyard. He was an avid Cowboys fan, attending nearly every home game for the past 35 years. One of his favorite pastimes was watching his children; he loved attending Muenster Hornet football games to watch his youngest son play and enjoyed attending live performances of the local band The Bois D’Arcs, of which his eldest son is a member. John Jr. adored his family and challenged himself to be the best husband, father, grandfather, and son that his family could ask for.

Survivors include his beloved wife, Danna Lu Fredrick of Muenster; son, John Spencer Fredrick, III of Muenster; son, Adam Clark Fredrick of Flower Mound; son, Jordan Thomas Fredrick of Muenster; son, Jace Chandler Fredrick of Muenster; grandson, John Spencer Fredrick, IV “Little John”; parents, John Spencer Fredrick, Sr. and Peggy Sue Fredrick of Irving; paternal grandmother, Dorothy Fredrick of Irving; sister, Sueda Brewer and spouse Dennis Brewer of Irving; sister, Vallorie Montgomery of Irving; sister, Melanie Bargas and spouse Jeff Bargas of Dallas; parents-in-law, Dan and Lula Johnson of Gainesville; and sister-in-law and brother-in-law, Vance and Donna Wells of Gainesville. Mr. Fredrick is also survived by countless aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces, nephews, and friends.

Serving as pallbearers are: Patrick Whitehead, Vance Wells, Rick Montgomery, Stan Fredrick, Jr., Landen Fredrick, Michael Terilli, Jesus Luna, and Alex Moreno.
