Patsy Ann Hellinger

Funeral service for Patsy A. Hellinger 67, of Gainesville are set for Wednesday August 6, 2014 at 2:00 p.m. at Temple Baptist Church with Dr. Eddie Chennault officiating with burial to follow in Fairview Cemetery. The family will receive friends on Tuesday August 5, 2014 from 6:30 to 8: 30 p.m. at the funeral home. Service under the direction of the Geo. J. Carroll and Son Funeral Home. Patsy passed away on August 3, 2014 in Denison Texas.

Patsy was born on June 21, 1947 in Grayson county to Clarence and Ettie Thomas. She married Mike E. Hellinger on December 18, 1965. Patsy was the owner and operator of Hellinger's Flowers and Cakes and she taught cake decorating classes. She was a licensed Vocational nurse, obtaining her certificate in 1969 and worked at Gainesville Memorial Hospital until 1987. She also obtained her R.N. nursing degree. Patsy worked at Frontier Manor from 1987 til 1997. Patsy loved to help others and was very social, she loved to take road trips and was an avid sales person, selling for Home interiors, Mary Kay and Taskfully simple products. She maintained raising her children and worked two jobs most of her life. Patsy kept a sweet spirit, outstanding laugh and love of life that she passed on to her children and family.

Patsy is survived by her husband Mike Hellinger daughters Pamela Hellinger of Gainesville, daughter and son in law Sarah and Jay Clure of Muenster and son Jerry Hellinger of Gainesville grandchildren Dylan, Hannah, Noah, Kylie and Nikolas Clure mother Ettie Thomas, a brother Alvin W. Thomas and numerous aunts and uncles.. She was preceded in death by her father Clarence W. Thomas, father and mother in law Frank and Christine Hellinger, brothers in law Dale, Dennis, Tommy and Glen Hellinger and Babe Skinnerand sister in law Raynell Hellinger. Pallbearers will be David Allen Johnson, Michael Johnson, Kevin Hellinger, casey Martin and Marty Bartlett and Honorary pallbearers are Jay Clure and Kenneth Skinner.
