Wilma Lou Thompson

Funeral services for Wilma Lou Thompson, 80, of Gainesville, are set for 2:00 PM Monday, December 29, 2014 at the Geo. J. Carroll & Son Funeral Home, with the Rev. Larry Kremling officiating. Burial will follow in the Fairview Cemetery under the direction of Geo. J. Carroll & Son Funeral Home. A visitation will be held from 7:00 - 8:00 PM Sunday, December 28, 2014, at the funeral home.

Wilma was born on December 2, 1934 in Lebanon, OK to Harley and Avna Amelia (McPherson) Miller. She passed away on Decemeber 24, 2014 in Gainesville.

Wilma married Jay Thompson on April 15, 1955 in Gainesville, and he preceded her in death on March 5, 1988.

She is survived by her daughter Sandra Brewer of Gainesville; son Alan Thompson and his wife Mary of Gainesville; grandchildren John Alan Thompson and his wife Natasha, Stephen Brewer and his wife Regina, Fredrick Thompson and his wife DeAnna, Chelsea Brewer, and Justin Thompson; eight great-grandchildren; sister Jimalea McGee; sister Harlene King; sister Betty Barnes; sister Sue Miller; and sister Ann Cason; and several nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband Jay; brother B.H. Miller; and her brother Doug Miller.
