Louise West

Funeral services for Helen Louise West, 86, of Gainesville, are set for 11:00 AM Thursday, February 2, 2017 at the Geo. J. Carroll & Son Funeral Home with Darrell McIntyre officiating. Burial will follow in the Fairview Cemetery under the direction of Geo. J. Carroll & Son Funeral Home. A visitation will be held at 7:00 PM Wednesday, February 1, 2017 at the funeral Home. The family will also receive friends one hour prior to the funeral service.

Louise was born on June 16, 1930 in Illinois Bend to Vollie Homer and Hattie Maude (Gosdin) Franklin. She passed away on January 30, 2017 in Gainesville.

She is survived by her son Franklin West of Gainesville; son Jim West of Era; son Kelly West and his wife Mary Jo of Valley View; grandchildren Misty Dill, Chris West, Jimbo West, Angela Whitehead, Danny West, David West, Ann Cheaney, and Jacob West. She is also survived by great-grandchildren Seth Dill, Steven Whitehead, Amanda Whitehead, Maddux West, Jaycie West, Easton West, Jancsi West, Gabriel Sandmann, Nate Cheaney, and Carter Louis West; and brother-in-law Ray West.

She was preceded in death by her parents; husband John West in 2013; brothers Melvin Franklin, Harold Franklin, Vern Franklin, Reese Franklin, and Grady Franklin; sister Maudine Prestage; and daughter-in-law Tricia West.
