David Peter Stoffels

A Memorial Mass for David Peter Stoffels, 66, of Lindsay, is scheduled for 10:00 AM on Tuesday, June 6, 2017 at St. Peter’s Catholic Church with Fr. Phil Petta officiating. A Rosary service will begin at 6:00 PM on Monday, June 5 at Geo. J. Carroll & Son Funeral Home with visitation to follow.

Mr. Stoffels passed away June 2, 2017 in Denton.

David was born January 20, 1951 in Gainesville to Henry N. and Mary Christine (Fuhrmann) Stoffels. He attended school in Lindsay and at Subiaco Academy in Arkansas. Mr. Stoffels received a Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting from Stephen F. Austin State University. He married Ginger Koelzer on August 21, 1987 at St. Peter’s in Lindsay. Mr. Stoffels had a successful career as an independent CPA. He was also a passionate farmer, hunter, and fisherman. Mr. Stoffels treasured the time spent with family, most of all with his grandchildren.

Survivors include: wife Ginger Stoffels of Lindsay; daughter Angela Hacker of Lindsay; grandchildren: Chase, Nichole, and Elizabeth; sister Linda Sims and husband Jim of Cloudcroft, NM; sister Sylvia Gigger and husband Richard of Houston; brother Gerald Stoffels and wife Cathy of Lindsay; sister Marilyn Marquez and husband Alan of Thornton, CO; sister Margie Laster and husband Mark of Lindsay; and brother Danny Stoffels of Lindsay.

Mr. Stoffels was preceded in death by: his parents; and granddaughter Victoria.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Subiaco Academy.
