Betty Louise Bennett

Memorial services for Betty M. Bennett , 85, formerly of Gainesville are set for 2 p.m., Saturday, April 13, 2019 at the Geo. J. Carroll & Son Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Bill Killough officiating.

Burial will follow in the Fairview Cemetery.

A visitation will be held from 1-2 p.m. on April 13, 2019 at the funeral home prior to the service.

Betty was born on November 22, 1933 in Montague County, Texas to William G. Moore and Ruby Harmon Moore.

She passed away on March 16, 2019 in Houston, Texas.

She married John W. Bennett in Nocona, Texas on March 17, 1955. Together they traveled the world. She made friends wherever she went. Her late husband, John, always said that he could find her in a crowd by following the laughter. She had a vivacious personality, enjoyed playing games with friends, and especially enjoyed her role as Nana.

She will be fondly remembered as a beloved wife, mother, grandmother, sister and friend.

Mrs. Bennett was a member of the First United Methodist Church in Gainesville, Texas.

She was preceded in death by her husband John, her father and mother, brother Carrol Wade Moore and sisters Evalyn Sharp and Mary Henson.

Survivors include her daughter Robin and son-in-law Jeff Harris of Ft. Worth, Tx., daughter Sinda “Renay” Bennett of Pearland, Tx., daughter Raegan and son-in-law Andy Bowden of Cypress, Tx., grandson Jonathan Harris of Philadelphia, Pa., granddaughter Lauren Harris of Los Angeles, Ca., grandsons Ross Bowden of Scottsdale, Az. and Wesley Bowden of Cypress, Tx., sister Janie Brown of Caddo, Ok. and brother Bill Moore of Corinth, Tx

Memorial contributions may be made to the Shriners Hospital for Children.
