Danny A. Greenlee was born July 22, 1946 in Kemp, to Albert and Edna Greenlee. He passed away peacefully at his home on July 30, 2020, with his family by his side, after a courageous two-year battle with cancer.
Danny graduated from Kemp High School and attended Henderson County Junior College. He was a veteran of the United States Air Force. He was of the Baptist Faith. He married Patricia on March 27, 1971. He has one daughter, Tracy King, two granddaughters, Katie and Jenna King of Whitesboro. He spent most of his career in the uniform rental business, the majority of which were with Industrial Towel and Uniform and with Chuck Howley Uniform.
There are some people that after you meet them, you remember for one reason or another. Danny was one of those people. He had a kind-hearted soul. He was witty, fun loving, and sarcastic in a most humorous way. He liked the out-of-doors and fishing, but most of all, he loved to entertain, singing karaoke, dancing, storytelling (some true). You name it, that was our Danny Boy. He adored his family and was especially proud of his daughter, granddaughters, and his “Baby Girl” Tiny. He will be missed by all.
Danny is survived by his wife Patricia of 49 years; daughter and granddaughters Tracy, Katie, and Jenna King of Whitesboro; sister Billie Bennight and husband Frankie of Kaufman; brothers Charlie Greenlee of Kemp and Gerry Greenlee of Kaufman; step-father Russell Kaser of Camden, AR; mother-in-law Jessie Rubrecht of Gainesville; a host of nieces, nephews, and cousins, all of whom he loved dearly.
Danny was preceded in death by his parents and sisters Pat Murphey and Barbara Dickerson.
A memorial service will be held in his honor at a later date. The Greenlee family would like to express their gratitude to Home Hospice for their dedication and care of their beloved Danny.
