Kenneth Clifton Webb

Kenneth Clifton Webb went to be with the Lord and loved ones October 22, 2019 in Gainesville Texas.  Graveside services will be on October 26, 2019 at 11:00 a.m., at Fairview Cemetery in Gainesville.  Windol Robbins Sr., Kenneth’s cousin, will officiate.  Grandsons will serve as honorary pallbearers. No visitation is planned.

Kenneth was born near Bowie, TX, December 31, 1934 to John Odell Webb and Susie Opal (Pipkin) Webb.  He started school in the Selma community school, later moving to Bowie.  He graduated Bowie High School in 1952.  He married Jeanetta Huelene Stoner on July 21, 1954.  They were married 64 years until her passing last April.

Kenneth started to work for the Bowie Gasoline Plant a few years after his graduation and then Union Texas Petroleum when they purchased the Bowie location.  He worked for UTP until his retirement in 1992.  In addition to Bowie, he was assistant manager or manager of facilities at Rankin, Silver, Walnut Bend, Sour Lake and Sandusky, all in Texas. He enjoyed his work and derived great satisfaction working for UTP.

Kenneth built multiple houses for his family and made sure he built each of his children a home. He was very proud of his association with VISTO and enjoyed the camaraderie with other workers.  He was a man of faith and was involved in Assemblies of God churches until illness made him unable to attend.  “Poppa” loved his grandchildren and made sure to spend many special moments with each of them as they were growing up.

Kenneth is survived by son Kevin Webb and wife Rosanna of Lake Kiowa, TX; daughter Janna Wolfe and husband Sam of Whitesboro, TX; grandchildren Keith (Andrea) Webb, Chasa (Chris) Bezner, Kyle and Matt Delashaw, Heath and Seth (Jordan) Wolfe, Becca (Trey) Dunn; and 7 great-grandchildren with another on the way, as well as many cherished nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Jeanetta, daughter Kenda Delashaw, parents, brother and sister-in-law Clyde and Mae Webb, and brother Kermit Webb.

The family would like to thank the employees of Gainesville Taco Bell for the kindness you extended to “Grandpa”.  For many years, his schedule revolved around his daily trip to Taco Bell.  Some of the last words he spoke were “soft taco, no lettuce, senior sweet tea!” Most especially, we thank the staffs of Wesley Senior Living Center, VNA Anne’s Haven Hospice and Mr. J.C. Flowers, for the care and compassion you provided for our father and grandfather during the last several months. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be to Visto of Gainesville, TX or VNA Ann’s Haven Hospice of Denton, TX.
